About Paper:

What is the difference between quilling paper and quillography paper?

Quilling paper is standard text or copy paper weight.  It is easily rolled and shaped for traditional quilled designs.  Quillograpy paper is cardstock paper.  It is thicker and has a more rigid structure that works well for the straight line work associated with quillography.  While this rigid structure works well for quillography it does not roll as well for making quilled shapes.

What are Quilling Paper weights?

Paper quilling is done with standard text/copy paper weights.  These strips will range in weight from 80-130 gsm.  80 gsm is a light weight paper making for thin, delicate strips.  These strips work well for very dainty projects.  Most quilling paper will range in weight from 110-130 gsm.  The majority of quilling paper strips on the market fall in this range as it is the standard paper weight for most quilling projects.

What are Quillography Paper weights?

Quillography is typically done with heavier paper weights.  These include, light, medium and even heavy cardstock at times.  Quillography is the technique of using straight or slightly curved paper strips to create a work of art.  For this reason heavier strips are used as they stiffer and thus make straight lines easier.

Can I combine paper weights?

Absolutely!  You can combine any combination of paper weight to create your project.  It is very common to use quillography strips to outline a piece and then fill it in with pieces made from quilling paper.

What does edge color placement mean?

There are two options for adding edge color.  When adding an edge color to your paper you can choose to have it on one side (top) or both sides (top and bottom).

What edge color placement should I choose?

If you are making a mounted art piece that only has one edge of the paper exposed, choose to add the color to the top edge.  You could choose both top and bottom, but be aware the the color will be visible on the bottom as well, even when mounted.

If you are making a 3D piece such as a Christmas tree ornament, choose to add the color to both the top and bottom.  This will ensure that your added color will be seen from all angles when the piece spins.

About Orders:

How do I place an order?

To place an order on the website, add the items to your cart and proceed through the checkout process.  Orders can also be placed through email.  Orders can be emailed to paper@quillingcanada.ca.  Please specify whether you would like a PayPal or credit card invoice for your payment.  Email money transfer is also available to Canadian customers.

What payment methods are available?

We accept PayPal, major credit cards, AfterPay, email money transfers (for Canadian customers), and COD (for pick-up orders) as forms of payment.

When will my order be processed?

Orders are processed on a first come first serve basis.  Normal order processing time is 1-2 days.  We do process orders on the weekends, but only ship on weekdays.  Large orders of Quillography strips may experience delays in shipping due to longer processing times.

How do I cancel an order?

If you have an order that needs to be cancelled please contact us as soon as possible: paper@quillingcanada.ca.  Orders can only be cancelled before they are shipped and are subject to a cancellation fee equal to the order processing fee.  This is typically between 2-3% of the order total, but can range up to 6%.  Please contact us for more information on charges associated with your order cancellation.

Can I add to my order?

Yes!  If we have not shipped your order and you would like to add to it please let us know as soon as possible.  We can only add to orders that have not been shipped yet.  Most of the time adding an item or two to an order doesn't affect the shipping price, in this case you can use coupon code: ADDON to simply add to the order you've already placed.  If you like to add a large number of items to your order please contact us so we can get you the best shipping rate.

Can I return an item?

All sales are final.  Due to the consumable and customizable aspects of our products, they are not returnable.  Please contact us with concerns about your order as soon as possible so we can discuss available options.

About Shipping:

When will my order ship?

Typically orders are shipped within a day or two of payment being received.  Orders shipped through Canada Post are shipped out daily, while Stallion Express orders are shipped out twice a week.  

How much is shipping?

Shipping is charged on order weight and delivery location so prices will vary.  Canadian shipping starts at about $2.00 for small orders that can ship lettermail.  Larger orders that must ship as parcels start at around $9.00.  US orders start around $6, while international orders start around $9. (Canadian $)

How long does delivery take?

Delivery time varies with each carrier.  Delivery times for Canada average 1-7 business days.  Delivery times to the United States average 3-14 business days.  Delivery times for international shipments average 6-21 business days.  Delivery estimates are shown with the shipping options during the checkout process.

Where do you ship to?

We currently ship worldwide, except to EU countries. 

Why don't you ship to the EU?

We are unable to ship to EU VAT collecting countries from this site, at this time, due to the immense amount of red tape involved in dealing with your region.  To order Delightfully Edgy to be delivered to a VAT collecting country please order from QuillingSupplies.Esty.com.  Please note that not all products on this site are listed on Etsy.  If there is something you'd like to order that is not listed, let us know and we will list it for you.

Orders ship from Ontario Canada.

Do you offer wholesale?

Special Orders:

Do you accept special orders?

Yes, we accept special orders.  Please contact us for more information, a minimum quantity and deposit may be required.

What items can be order in a special order?

Any inventory listed on our site can be order in bulk quantities through a special order.  Quilling strips can be special ordered in widths of 1.5mm, 3mm, 5mm, 1cm, 1.5m, 2cm, 3cm and 6cm (color selection varies with size).  Most quilling tools seen online can be ordered as a special order even if we do not currently stock them.  Quilling accessories such as floral wire, flower pistils, pearl stickers, and rhinestone trim can also be ordered.  Please let us know there is something you are looking for.
